Paper was invented by the Chinese more than 2000 years ago. It is made from fibres which can be natural or man made. The very best paper is made using cotton fibres which are the waste product from cotton plantations, the waste fibres being too short for clothing, but ideal for paper manufacture. Other fibres are sourced from fast growing plantations of trees or plants such as esparto grass eucalyptus trees, birch trees and pine trees. Deciduous trees such as oak are never used for papermaking.

All of The Papeterie paper and card stock stock listed is produced at Stoneywood paper Mill. There are several finishes and grades (Thickness) available.   If there are any grades that are not listed, then we may still be able to supply.  Full technical specifications are available on request
